My Coaching Approach

I hold that my clients are naturally creative and whole, and have the resources they need to move forward. Thus one of my main jobs as a coach is to help people access their innate strengths and activate them in their life.

40 years of meditation training have given me an awareness and sensitivity to the underlying dynamics of body, mind and emotions, and how to bring relief to difficult states of mind. Meditation has also taught me a caring way in working with people.

Background

Compelled by high levels of anxiety and struggle, from an early age I began engaging in healing work and personal growth. My first experience was when I would come home after school and lay on my back for some deep breathing, to calm down the storm in my mind. From there the journey unfolded. Through years of exploration and research I gradually found relief from chronic and sometimes crippling anxiety.

For the past 26 years I have worked as a natural health care provider and educator, and for 10 years I travelled extensively teaching workshops to other therapists to pass on some of what I had learned.

Certifications and Credentials
  • Certified Health and Wellness Coach: Certified by The Wellness Inventory, a pioneering institute in the field of health and wellness coaching and education.
  • Certified Structural Integration Practitioner: Certified by The Guild for Structural Integration, where I studied with Dr. Ida P. Rolf’s two principle instructors.
  • Certified Qi Gong Healing Practitioner: I studied with Master Yap Soon-Yeong, and eventually trained and was certified as a Qigong Healing practitioner. I’ve maintained a daily qigong practice for over 18 years.
  • In addition, I am a certified meditation teacher and have taught meditation for over 25 years. I’ve also been certified in conflict mediation, Peace Circle Keeping, Focusing, Deep Listening, and a range of other healing and wellness modalities.
